Maya Johnson
Born in LA and a Brooklyn resident by way of Philly, artist and performer, Maya started her career at the age of 7 as a child actress in the Jackson American Dream (playing Janet Jackson). She then appeared in several TV sitcoms, commercials, stage plays, and musicals. Also, a classically trained dancer, Maya received her BFA in dance and choreography from University of Arts (PA). Currently a working artist, Maya has worked with choreographers such as Debbie Allen, Hinton Battle, Otis Sallid, Nathan Trice, Abdel Salaam, Eartha Robinson, La Verne Reed, Curt Haworth, Chrissy Dorie, and many other established artists. On the musical front, Maya has worked with Sheree Brown and Patrice Rushen and is currently working with DJ Teenwolf, Margel Sophant, and the 83rd on some new musical projects.
Currently she has fused her love for fashion trends and comfortable athletic wear , creating clothing line Cococa Cakes with the help of eMinutes team. We formed a New York corporation for Maya.
