MonoMano, Inc. has developed a piece of adaptive sports equipment that allows users with only one arm (e.g. stroke survivors and upper extremity amputees) to get back into the sport of cycling. This one-handed cycling control system has been tested by able bodied individuals and end-users alike, and has received stellar feedback. Team “MonoMano” was awarded 1st place in the Charles and Janet Forbes Entrepreneurial Competition, 2nd place in the Mark Ain Business Model Competition, we are finalists in the Rehabilitative Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America (RESNA) Competition held from June 28th-July 3rd. The team is composed of 5 highly dedicated Biomedical Engineering students at the University of Rochester.
