Hiwa Bourne forms Nani Kai Dancers

Hiwa Bourne is director and founder of Nani Kai Dancers.  She was born and raised in Honolulu and first learned hula from her grandmother Nani Chow.  Most recently, she completed ‘uniki with Kumu Kawaikapuokalani Hewett, loea.  She has danced in Tahiti, NY, Alaska and all over the United States.  Over the years she has been approached multiple times to teach and to perform Polynesian dance and so Nani Kai Dancers was created.  NKD is a professional Polynesian dance group that offers entertainment shows (for your luaus, weddings, birthdays, schools, etc) as well as weekly dance classes.  “It is a joy to know that so many people outside of Hawaii love and appreciate our culture”.  She is excited to share her culture and aloha through Nani Kai Dancers shows and classes.  To truly appreciate Hiwa, you have to watch her on this video.
