Jeff Unger: You’ve defined a company’s brand as the “expectations based on the promises that you make and keep or don’t keep”.  Do you suggest that bootstrapped entrepreneurs who are just starting out keep expectations low initially to ensure that they can deliver on the promises of their brand?

Seth Godin: No, I suggest they create really high expectations… and exceed them.
