Bryan Carter

Bryan Carter is the founder and president of Reality Unkempt Media, Inc., an independent multimedia and consulting firm.  A Politics PhD candidate, specializing in the political participation of marginalized communities, Bryan created Reality Unkempt to share nuanced stories of people often mischaracterized or entirely ignored by traditional media outlets.  Additionally, Reality Unkempt provides consulting services to campaigns and organizations seeking to use social media and viral media campaigns to advance their agendas.

Bryan’s late grandfather birthed his love of politics at the age of nine while watching a national presidential convention together.  That moment led Bryan down the path of youth activism in his native South Carolina and later as a college student in Philadelphia, then on to a career as an education non-profit program manager and political advocate.  His experience taught him how to utilize the power of the Internet and independent media to counter an abundantly financed opposition.

We formed a New York corporation for Bryan.
