Bruce Beck
Bruce L. Beck has more than 30 years of public relations and marketing communications experience. He founded D B & R in January 1990 to provide marketing-driven public relations services for business-to-business and professional service firms with a particular emphasis in the real estate and financial services industries. Prior to founding DB&R Bruce held senior positions at some of the nation’s most prestigious public relations firms directing the campaigns for such notable firms as Korn/Ferry International, Oppenheimer, Weyerhaeuser, The Australian Department of Trade, Hang Ten International, Phone-Mate and Huffy Bicycles. He also supervised the media relations activities and the advertising agency review for The Bass Group in its acquisition of American Savings. Bruce began his career in the music division at Rogers and Cowan, one of the nation’s leading entertainment public relations firms. Bruce was a member of the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Organizing Committee, responsible for media relations for the boardsailing event, an exhibition sport. Bruce turned down a professional baseball contract with the Kansas City Royals in 1972 to attend Pepperdine University on an athletic scholarship where he earned a BA in Communication Theory.
